Iines Jakovlev was a guest speaker at the Ornamo Responsibility Circle on 14th November, 2024. Iines is a recent Master of Arts graduate from Aalto University. Iines joined in person at the Ornamo office, bringing material samples and resources from her award-winning thesis. In her thesis, Jakovlev explored the dimensions of biobased design while investigating new fiber plants from local nature and roadside environments. Her work emphasizes the importance of bio-based and ecological solutions and material research in the future of design.
