Important information about memberships

Ornamo membership is an investment in yourself. In this article you will find important information about the different membership options.

Ornamo helps you to grow your skills and prepare for challenging situations in your career. Our members include designers from a wide range of industries, and individuals, companies and communities working in the design industry can join us. Individual members can also join TEK and the KOKO unemployment fund.

Remember also the tax benefit of membership fees!

Ornamo membership fees are tax-deductible and can be declared on your tax return under “Income-generating expenses”. KOKO-kassa will report membership fees paid in 2024 to the tax authorities, so check your pre-filled tax return in the spring. The membership fees of Ornamo and TEK must be declared on the tax return itself.

Membership offer for graduating students!

Ornamo congratulates all graduating students! We offer all student members, who graduated in 2024, a full Ornamo membership for the first year at the price of 99 euros (full prize is 205 euros).Invoices will be issued automatically at the beginning of next year. Student, let us know if your graduation is delayed due to your assessment. We will then know to send you the student fee for next year. Otherwise, you will become a full member, and you will also receive an invoice.

Entrepreneur

As a business member of Ornamo, you have access to services suitable for design companies. Now is a good time to change your membership from a full member to a business member. Please find out more about the benefits of business membership.

Free membership

Would you become a free member? Members of age of 65 who has been a full member of Ornamo or its member association for at least 30 years, or a full member of Ornamo who has been found to be unable to work, can be accepted as a free member of Ornamo Art and Design Finland. Security in case of unemployment

Being a member of an unemployment fund is an important safeguard in the working life. You can join the KOKO unemployment fund for highly educated through Ornamo Art and Design Finland. A salaried job is required when joining the KOKO fund. The job can be temporary, fixed term or part-time, and it is possible to join the fund as a working student. The price of KOKO unemployment fund membership in 2024 is 63 euros. Read more about KOKO unemployment fund membership.

Become a member of Tekniikan Akateemiset TEK? 

 As a dual member of Ornamo and TEK, you get access to the membership services and benefits of both organizations. TEK handles the promotion of interests with regard to the job market and provides services and benefits such as legal counselling and career guidance. The price of a double membership in 2024 is 159 euros for Ornamo members. Read more about dual membership here.

Do you want to end your membership?

Tell us that you want to end your membership by e-mail: muotoilu@ornamo.fi by 5 February 2024, and you will not receive a membership invoice for the year ’24. Please note that an unpaid membership invoice is not a resignation notice.

The 2025 Ornamo membership card with new colours is now available.
