Lawyer Rosa Joensuu starts in Ornamo’s Legal advisory service

Ornamo’s new lawyer, Rosa Joensuu, has started in our Legal advisory service. During her studies she specialised in intellectual property law and contract law, and after graduation she did an internship at the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO).

Tell me about your background

I graduated as a Master of Laws from the University of Helsinki in June 2022. During my studies, I took several courses in intellectual property law and business contracts. After graduation, I did an internship at the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO). I have also continued my studies in intellectual property law at Hanken School of Economics. Through my professional experience, I have learned the importance of protecting intellectual property rights and the many ways in which they can be used in business.

What attracts you to design and the design industry?

What attracts me to design and design industry is visuality and versatility. I am passionate about protecting the results of creative work and excited to be able to offer my expertise to support designers.

What kind of matters can you be contacted about?

You can contact me for example regarding contracts, employment matters and intellectual property rights. Intellectual property rights offer many possibilities for both protecting and growing your business. I am happy to discuss the use of intellectual property rights in the design sector and advise on how to protect them.

What do you bring to our design community?

I bring a positive attitude and enthusiasm and interest in IPR.

Legal advice’s telephone service is open on Mondays from 15:00 to 16:00 and on Thursdays from 9:00 to 10:00 and otherwise by appointment – please use the booking calendar.

Ornamo’s full membership includes two short or one long consultation meeting per year for each member. Business membership includes 2-5 counselling sessions, depending on the size of the company.
