The calls are open for the Habitare Talents and Habitare Protos 2025 exhibitions
The call for the Habitare Talents and Protos 2025 exhibitions in Habitare’s new design area The Block is now open. Habitare Talents will feature four early-career designers who already have a distinctive designer identity and evidence of their skills, while Habitare Protos will showcase 10-12 ideas for future products each year. Finnish Glass Biennale, Open Call for Satellite Events
Riihimäki’s international profile takes advantage of the appreciation of Finnish glass design and the international connections of the Finnish Museum of Glass. Building on these strengths, the city is organising a new glass event, the Finnish Glass Biennale, produced by Luovi Productions, founder and producer of Helsinki Design Week and the Fiskars Village Art & Design Biennale.
The Finnish Glass Biennale will include a professional seminar, expert visits, exhibitions and satellite events in Riihimäki and Iittala and Nuutajärvi, famous for their art glass, co-produced with the local community. Read more and apply for the biennale by 16 February!
Hakoniemi Residency – Continuous open call for 2025
Founded in 2019 in Oravisalo, Rääkkylä, Hakoniemi residence is a peaceful and inspiring working environment, located and inspired by the beautiful lake-side nature of Northern Saimaa archipelago.
The residence is suitable for artists, musicians, writers, artisans, designers, researchers and architects among others.
Apply now for 2025 residency periods:
Spring: January 6th – June 15th
Autumn: September 1st – December 21st
Duration of the residency period 1 week – 3 months.

Skogshyddan Residence Open call for 2025
A relaxed working residence by the sea between Tammisaari and Hanko, in the village of Skogby. A peaceful setting for artists, researchers and creative practitioners and working groups. Work periods in residence can range from one week to three months and the residency includes accommodation and free use of the garden.
