Welcome to the ORC group meeting about job hunting and responsibility! Do you have questions about job hunting? Are you wondering how to put into words sustainability and responsibility expertise? Are you struggling with job search, or curious about looking for a new opportunity? Join us in conversation in the ORC group meeting 2025 April 24th!

During this event, Ornamo’s Design Advisor Petra Ilonen will give a talk about the topic and after, the participants have an opportunity to discuss and ask questions about job hunting related issues. Later, we will have a shared discussion and opportunity to receive and give peer-support.  

Petra Ilonen is a Design Advisor at Ornamo and works with member services, career counseling and design expertise. She has a long experience and expertise in advising designers in different phases in their careers. Please bring your own laptop, we will need them during the meeting.

5:00-5.05 Welcome words and short introductions

5:05–5:40 PM Presentation and Q&A by Ornamo’s Design Advisor Petra Ilonen

• How to take ownership of your sustainability expertise? 
• How to strengthen your expertise for job hunting?
• What kind of jobs are available in Finland for responsible design experts?
• What kind of help Ornamo offers for job hunting?

5:30– Discussion / activity

• Possibility to ask others and share own experiences, and discuss the topics further.
• If there is interest, we can form pairs or groups to discuss and give feedback about CV’s and portfolios. To take part, be ready to show a version to your peers from a laptop or printed version. 

There will be a small activity during the evening answered with laptop so bring your own.

Small refreshments will be available, feel free to bring your own snacks or light drinks!
